New Goodwill Fashion Makeover Contest!

Starting today, Friday July 6, we will begin a new Goodwill fashion makeover contest!

So here’s the deal. Simply enter your name in our contest by leaving a comment below (be sure to enter your email in the comment form) and then next Friday (July 13th), we’ll pick a winner. We’ll meet (at your convenience) at the closest Goodwill (to you) and find you a fabulous “new” outfit. We’ve shown about eight different women and their Goodwill outfits in the past (you can check them out under our Fashion section) and they all look gorgeous. And we’ll pick up the tab.

Not only do we find great outfits at Goodwill (and other thrift stores) but they also have a good selection of shoes and accessories.

The black Kate Spade heels cost $1.99 at Salvation Army and the black beaded purse was $9.00 from Goodwill.

Both pairs of shoes are in excellent condition. When buying shoes from a thrift store you want to check out the heels to make sure they aren’t run-down or uneven. You can sanitize them by spraying them with a disinfectant or add a pair of insoles. The brown Banana Republic shoes were $6.00 at Goodwill and the metallic Fergalicious wedges were $2.50 from arc.

Love all these necklaces! From left to right…$3.00 at Goodwill, $2.00 at Goodwill, $4.00 from Plato’s Closet and $4.00 at Goodwill.

Great statement necklaces. The gold necklace was $5.00 and the brown beads were $5.00 from Plato’s Closet.

This necklace kind of looks like a face! Very unusual but it looks stunning on (cost $5.00 at Goodwill.) These black Unisa sling backs cost $3.99 at Goodwill…I found a similar style online for $60.00

I picked up this cute straw purse with the pink trim for $1.99. The beads were $3.00 and the pink belt was $1.99. The super soft leather turquoise bag was $15.00 (brand is Park Avenue Int.) All of these were purchased at Goodwill.

Both of these bags are great for the summer! The blue and white striped one still had the original tags on it for $24.99 but I got it on sale for $1.99! The cream bag with brown trim was also $1.99 that I used during the fall and still use now. And these gorgeous (all leather) shoes were a bargain at $3.99, all purchased at Goodwill.

So, from clothes to shoes to belts and bags….we’ll be able to find you a fabulous outfit at Goodwill. So far, we’ve been able to find everyone an outfit anywhere from about $13 to $16…..who will be next? Make sure you enter today (by leaving a comment)!

Mine too! And I love that they give back 90 cents of every dollar back in to our community! Makes me feel good about shopping there….I save tons of money and help others. It’s a win-win situation.
