Meet Hannah….Our First Back-To-School Goodwill Winner…..Sweet AND Cute!

This was a fun shopping trip for me, getting to meet Hannah (age 8) and her three sisters and mom Renee. We shopped, tried on clothes and made our purchases all in about an 1 1/2 hours and all the girls were so well-behaved, friendly, cute, sweet….well, I fell in love with all of them! Because most everything Hannah tried on was either on sale or already priced low, we ended up buying her four outfits for a grand total of $13.12! (I was planning on spending $12-$15 so when I saw the prices, and how cute she was in them, well, it fit right into my budget and she was one happy (and very appreciative), young lady.

Hannah loves the color purple and prefers wearing skirts and dresses so we found this cute purple striped skirt  and purple top, each at 99 cents each. Hannah’s lean and long-waisted so mom wanted to make sure we found tops that covered her stomach, which this does. She can wear both of these pieces with other items, which always helps in stretching the wardrobe. Grand total…$1.98 for the outfit.

Hannah loved this outfit too, so mom Renee bought it for her (well actually dad bought it, he showed up later to help with the girls and see Hannah in all of her outfits, which I thought was very sweet!) Each of these pieces were also 99 cents and again, can be worn with all types of other clothes, creating multiple outfits and looks. Another $1.98 outfit.

LOVED this outfit and how we put it together, as did Hannah! The plaid skirt, green Old Navy top and jacket all cost $1.39 each and makes just an adorable outfit. She can of course wear the top with anything, the jacket will look cute with jeans, pants or over a dress or another skirt and the skirt…one of my favorite pieces she picked out. She can wear it now with bare legs while it’s still warm and then in the cooler weather, it will look cute with tights. Isn’t she a doll? Total for this look was $4.17…if this jacket had been in my size, I would have bought it! So cute.

Hannah’s going to be in the third grade this year. It was funny because I asked her what one of her favorite foods was and after thinking and hesitating a bit (then I said, ok, what if you could eat anything you wanted) she answered lobster or shrimp. Renee was quick to point out that ONLY happens on VERY SPECIAL  occasions! I of course told Hannah that by shopping at thrift stores like we were, and finding gorgeous clothes for next to nothing, well, that she would be able to splurge on food like that when she gets older! A girl after my own heart….thrift store clothes and lobster!

This Old Navy dress was an instant hit…fit perfectly and it’s purple! These types of dresses are of course comfortable in warm weather but Hannah can also wear this when it gets cooler with a sweater or jacket. This dress was $2.99 and look how cute Hannah looks in it!

This was everyone’s favorite outfit. Hannah looks fabulous! The black dress (again, something she can wear with other items and in the cooler months) was $1.99 and we paired it with the denim jacket with black collar, also $1.99. Total outfit cost $3.98 and it looks like we just bought it at the mall.

From left to right, Aspen, Kirsten, Hannah and Sydney!

All the girls were adorable! And very polite! You would think shopping with 4 young girls, all who like fashion, might have been a little, challenging? Nope! They helped pick out clothes and let the day be all about Hannah and her winning the contest.

Hannah, you are very pretty and have such a great personality. I wish you well during the school year and it was a pleasure meeting you! I’m glad we were able to find you some cute clothes for school.

Renee, you have four wonderful daughters and I could just tell by how they interacted with you and each other, (and dad), that you are an awesome mom! It was a pleasure meeting you and the entire family! Thanks!

I’m a friend of Renee’s from Michigan. This is such a neat thing to do. You found such cute clothes, and what a great way to stretch a dollar. Hannah looks great and I love the picture of all 4 girls.
