With June being the month we celebrate Father’s Day, I thought it would be fun to have this month’s Discover Goodwill makeover contest for the men in our lives. We’ve showcased how women can find fabulous fashion for less and we’ve done back to school contests for the kids but there are tons of men’s clothing and accessories at Goodwill too.
So here’s how it works…enter a man in your life that’s not going to mind being showcased in one of our posts. It can be your father, your husband, son, brother, boyfriend, coworker….any man you know that could use a “new” outfit from Discover Goodwill. By entering him, you give us permission to use his pictures in a future post. All you have to do is leave a comment as to why “your” guy needs/wants some fashion help.
The “man” needs to be able to meet us at a local Discover Goodwill store which includes Colorado Springs, Woodland Park, Fountain and Pueblo. The contest starts today, Wednesday, June 5th and runs through Tuesday, June 11th. We’ll announce our randomly drawn winner on Wednesday, June 12th.
Discover Goodwill has tons of ties, suits, jeans, shoes, etc. for men, which I’ve personally bought for my own husband and son (and you’d never know they were wearing thrift.)
Of course you can join the shopping expedition if you want, which might make him feel more comfortable!

Hello my name is Jessica Yslas, my boyfriend of over 4 years Carl Greer DESPERATELY needs some clothes. We just came from being homeless and now are in a place and currently looking for work. He has a few interviews set up this month and he needs good looking interview clothes. He lost all of his clothes and shoes and really really needs some outfits. Carl has been through a lot in his life and is really trying to make a change. I really hope that he can win this contest to feel good about himself inside and out. 🙂
Jessica…Glad you both have a place to stay now! We have Carl entered in the contest. Goodwill really does have a good selection of men’s clothing from suits and ties to more casual and I’m sure we could find him something. Good luck to Carl in the contest (and in finding a job!)
