De-Clutter For A Cause To Benefit the Children’s Organ Transplant Association (Tomorrow, June 15th)

Here’s a great way to spend some time Saturday, June 15th (tomorrow!) having fun AND helping others. Thanks Kielee MacKenzie Lawonn for letting me know about this event so we can spread the word.

Vanguard Church in Theater 7 is holding a silent auction/blood drive to benefit the Children’s Organ Transplant Association in honor of Alex B.

de-clutter for a cause

Donated items for sell with a silent auction and lots of other fun activities! Vendors include:

  • Arbonne Skin Care,
  • Gold & Silver Buyers
  • Origami Owl Jewelry
  • Dove Chocolates
  • Wooden Bird Houses
  • Scentsy Candles
  • Coffee by Me
  • Mary Kay
  • Chair Massage
  • Lia Sophia Jewelry
  • 31 Bags
  • Body by Vi
  • Life Vantage
  • It Works
  • My Initials
  • Tastefully Simple
  • Tupperware and Pampered Chef
  • There will be over $3,000 worth of silent auction items!

Not only can you bid on items in the silent auction, The Learning Experience will be there along with their Mascot, Bubbles and fun kid’s activities. There will also be a hot air balloon set up to walk inside. Emergency vehicles will be there in the afternoon….which makes this a family friendly event.

If you’re not familiar with COTA, here’s some information on this wonderful association trying to help kids and their families cope with life-saving challenges when it comes to organ transplants for children.

The event is at Vanguard Church in Theater 7 located at 3950 North Academy Blvd in Colorado Springs. The event runs from 10 to 2. Swing by if you can, bid on something you need/want and help others while doing so.

Donate Blood

And while you’re there, donate some blood! To donate blood you need to be at least 17 years of age up to age 75 (if you’re older than 75 you can donate as long as you have a doctor’s note saying you are in good enough health to donate a pint of blood.) You also need to weigh at least 110 pounds.

Panera will be providing breakfast and there will be hot dogs for lunch with yummy sweets on sale for dessert.

Have fun and help others…always a win-win situation in my opinion!

If you’re interested in learning how to become an organ donor, which gives the gift of hope to others, you can click on the link to find out how. It’s easy and you can help save a life.
