So Much To Do In Manitou…Part 2

Yesterday I wrote about fun things to do in Manitou Springs and because there’s so many things, I wanted to continue with a few more shops and restaurants….

A new store in town is Toscano Interiors.

I met owner, Candance Toscano, who has one of those personalities that makes you instantly feel like you’ve been friends forever! I could have hung out, shopped, and visited with her all day. Toscano Interiors features locally made and designed art, furniture, decor and more. It’s all unique, one-of-a-kind and not your “typical” interior design boutique.

Whether you’re looking for that perfect accessory to add a bit of flair to a room, or you want to redo a complete room, Candance is the woman to see. (They have larger pieces not in the store and she can help you design any room in your home.)

Besides home décor, there’s also lots of fun accessories to choose from for yourself.

And for those of you looking for vegan products, she has a large selection of vegan/organic bath products, all reasonably priced.

Need a break? Here’s an interesting “seat”….just an example of the local art decorating the entire town.

Whether you’re looking for a place to stay or a bite to eat, The Cliff House is a fabulous place to visit. They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner, regardless if you’re staying there or not.

While spending the day with my grandson in Manitou, we stopped for a bite to eat on the veranda. He enjoyed his hot dog while grandma tried out one of the daily soups offered, (that’s always interesting and delicious.) He obviously had a bit of ketchup on that dog! While shopping earlier, he picked out this super-size duck ($4.00) from the Quacker Gift Shop (see more info on The Cliff House.)

Here’s two of my favorite shops…

The Olive Tap offers extra-virgin olive oils, aged balsamic vinegars and gourmet food. I have featured their products in past posts as excellent “hostess” gifts and we personally love the garlic olive oil.

Labels Clothier is a newer shop in Manitou that I have fallen in love with. Owner Kristin McCollum is another one of those women who after meeting her once, you feel like you’ve known her forever. She offers upscale, designer labels that aren’t your typical “mall” clothes.

The clothes at Labels are (for me personally,) what I consider “splurges” but in reality, not any more expensive than something you’d pick up at Macy’s, White House Black Market, or Express. Kristin runs sales on a regular basis so no matter what your budget is, you can find something that fits.

I’ve bought 3 dresses from Labels and whenever I wear one of them, women are always asking me “Where did you get that…love it!”

When we hit 3,000 likes I celebrated by weeding, then putting on one of my new dresses and enjoying some wine!

Patsy’s has some of the best fudge and toffee around. I very seldom go home without a few treats!

You can walk around Manitou Springs all day and discover unusual pieces of art everywhere.

And if you’re looking for adventure, the new ziplines are a must!

Well, I didn’t even cover half of Manitou Springs but as you can see, there’s a ton of fun things to do and see in Manitou Springs. One thing you will experience while shopping and dining is the friendliness of the town. Business owners, store workers, restaurant personnel and the people who live in town will greet you like an old friend and make you feel welcome…

Here’s a few more of my favorite shops I visited last year...
