The weather is getting warmer and we’ve had some lovely days where all you want to do is be outside. The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is one of my very favorite places in Colorado Springs to spend a day enjoying the weather, scenery and of course the animals. In 2012 TripAdvisor.com named “our” zoo as one of the best top 10 zoos in the United States. The zoo does cost money of course and we know that sometimes those fun activities just aren’t in the budget. So to celebrate Spring and how beautiful it is here and my own personal love for all animals, we’re giving away 2 free adult tickets (valued at $17.25 each).

We love to visit during the week & take all day at the zoo! Feeding the giraffes, hanging out with the bears, & hearing the wolves howl at closing time!

Having been to zoos all over the United states, this zoo is by far my favorite. The mountain setting is amazing and who doesn’t adore the giraffes?! I love seeing every gorgeous animal and can’t wait to go back!

The last time we went was for zoo lights. It was fun until it started blowing wind and snow! All the animals were hiding inside! :p we like to go when we can but tickets are definitely pricey. It all goes towards taking care of all the animals. We try to learn something new everytime we get to go. I think the last day trip we had was before my husband deployed almost a year and half ago! Hopefully this summer we can all go again! Our favorites are giraffes, elephant, tigers and monkeys Good luck everyone!

My son is 3. We have only been to the zoo twice and those times were both during the winter. We would love to take him during the spring or summer time when all the animals are out and about. He loves the zoo so much and I would love to take him to the zoo again to teach him more about animals.

I love taking my 2yr old and playing “I spy” makes her pay attention on which animals are next. My overall favorite is the amazing views and thw Otters when they swim in water.

My daughter is an amazing nine year old that has risen above PTSD (due to death of my brother) and she inspires me every day to continue to be the best at anything I do. She went from having emotional breakdowns everyday at school starting in kindergarten to being one of the smartest kids in her third grade class, reading at a sixth grade level. She’s happiest when she’s around animals, a big science fiction nut, always surprising me with random animal facts. She’s such an incredible girl and I know she would feel right at home at the zoo. đŸ™‚

My family has only been once during December a few years ago. In the last year we got custody of my baby sister. Now we will be moving to Denver in the summer. It would be a great last adventure of our accomplishments in Colorado Springs.

We would really enjoy those free tickets! I have been in and out of the hospital since October, have had at least 5 major surgeries, lots of procedures and a trip to Texas to see a specialist where I was in the hospital for a month! I came back home and again back to the hospital. I am in need of fresh air and creating memories with my loves. Zoos have always been a family fun day and that’s what my family and heart and soul need right about now! Tired of hospitals and tired of always being sick and tired☺

My boys have been wanting to go, their grandma passsed she loved the penguins, they wanna spend time with them for their grandma to think of her.
Erica, A personal note I’ll share. We lived in Texas before moving here. My young (at the time) son and I visited the zoo and he chose some penguin socks for my mom as a present to take back to her. She died shortly after our Colorado trip and we buried her in those penguin socks from the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo (she loved them). Good luck!!
