I’m so excited to announce a new Discover Goodwill contest, which starts today. If you’ve seen some of our past winners, you know that we always find something fabulous for them.
Here’s how it works…
The contest is for a “new” outfit, worth up to $25. We will randomly pick a winner who will then meet me at one of our local Discover Goodwill locations. Then we’ll shop, shop, shop till we find something that looks great, fits well, and shows how easy and affordable finding a “new” outfit at Goodwill is. This usually takes a couple of hours since we fill up a basket with items we both find and then have you try them on. The winner agrees to let me take pictures of the process and use them in a post on our website.
To enter, you must be able to meet me at a local location (Colorado Springs, Fountain, Pueblo or Woodland Park.)
In the past we’ve found great ensembles for women, men, teens and children. This contest is open to anyone and everyone (that’s local.) I originally began these contests after I found my best deal ever at Discover Goodwill which was a $1.99 black dress that didn’t look like much on the hanger but once I tried it on, I could see all the possibilities that dress offered in how and where I’d wear it. The first time I wore it was at an event at The Broadmoor, where I happily told everyone when asked, “It’s from Goodwill.” (Thank goodness my husband doesn’t mind when I share that information!) When I saw the disbelief and repeatedly heard, “I never have luck shopping there,” I decided to start these contests to show how, with a bit of looking and luck, anyone can shop there AND find something they love…and not look like they’re wearing “used” clothing. And there are lots of times we actually find items with the tags still on them.

HOW TO ENTER…
To enter, simply leave a comment on why you’d like to win a “new” outfit at Discover Goodwill. You can also enter a friend or family member who you think could use a bit of pampering. And we always have fun.
The contest starts today, Monday, June 9th and runs through Friday, June 13th. We’ll announce the winner on Saturday, June 14th.
