2016 Farmers Market Schedule

One of my very favorite things about summer is visiting all the local Farmers Markets. Getting outside to enjoy the weather, mingling with those in our community, supporting the local farmers and small businesses, and of course enjoying all the fresh produce and homemade products.

Here is the schedule for all the Farmers Markets in the Colorado Springs area. You can always google your own city with the words “farmers markets” in the search to find out what’s going on in your community.

I was just wondering about this! Thank you! A word of warning though, just because you buy it at the Farmer’s Market, doesn’t mean it’s always local! Especially, early in the season! Make sure you ask, I found this out the hard way when I bought some fruit that ended up being from California! I could have bought it from the grocery store for less!

Thanks for mentioning this Cindi. SO many are not aware of this and are buying at markets thinking they are supporting local farmers. There are only 2 markets in town that sell only local produce & goods (you won’t see any avocados or bananas!) Those markets are the Downtown Sunday Market in Acacia Park and the Colorado Farm & Art Markets (Wed & Sat).
