Fabulous Maternity Clothes from the Thrift Stores

My girlfriend is pregnant with her first child and much to her dismay, discovered how expensive maternity clothes are. And it’s not like you can just do without them! Now prior to her pregnancy, she was one of my friends who thought thrift store shopping was kind of “icky”….now, she’s wanting to go shopping at Goodwill or arc every week because she has found some fabulous maternity clothes there and discovered, no, they are not “icky” and they are CHEAP (without looking cheap).

This dress is so cute and something she can wear to work or out on a date with her hubby. She’s very tall so the length is always an issue for her and this fit her perfectly! This dress brand is Motherhood and cost her a whopping $6.99 at Goodwill, (new dresses average between $35-$45). Great deal and she feels (and looks) very confident in it.

Look how fashionable she looks in a great pair of jeans and this red top…Both the jeans and top are Motherhood brand and she paid  $2.50 for the top (arc) and $3.00 for the jeans (Goodwill)….a perfect outfit for casual dress days at work, shopping or just hanging out at home.

This Liz Lange maternity top was found at Goodwill for $1.99 and she’ll be able to wear it during the warmer days and be comfortable and still look great!

She loves this Baby and Me polka dot top and she looks beautiful in it. This looks like she bought it brand new and she’s worn it with jeans and a nice pair of black pants. It’s stylish, fits great and only cost $2.00 at arc.

So as you can see by the pictures, yes, you can find flattering and fashionable maternity clothes at your local thrift store and get them for next to nothing! Now I will say, she didn’t find all these in one day but we were able to find something every single time we went shopping and after a couple of weeks of shopping, she had a good amount of maternity clothes and all together, she spent less on everything than she would have on ONE item at full price. If you know someone pregnant and on a budget, encourage them to check out their closest Goodwill or arc!

Great money saving ideas! Not sure what looks better, the clothes or the beautiful maternity model! The money saved is also a beautiful thing.

The model is more beautiful….the clothes only enhance her maternity glow! (and she’s smiling because she didn’t spend a ton of money on her clothes so she has more money to spend on the nursery!)
