Tight budgets and busy schedules can make holiday decorating seem a bit daunting but it doesn’t have to be. Here are 15 decorating ideas using simple Christmas ball ornaments and items around your home. These are quick, super cheap and will add some holiday cheer with no stress. I typically buy ornaments after Christmas when they are on sale but even at full price, you can pick up a box of the simple round ornaments that won’t cost a ton. Most of the glass containers and baskets I bought at Discover Goodwill, which also saved me money. And of course you can customize the colors of your Christmas balls to go with your home decor.

I hung these with ornament hooks but ribbon would look fabulous.

This is an outdoor planter I brought in for the winter. You could add some pinecones, cinnamon sticks, ribbon or whatever else you like…or keep it simple like I did. The pine branches are from a tree in our yard.

Empty boxes, wrapping paper and ribbons from the Dollar Tree, basket from Goodwill, along with the pine from my yard made this super easy and cheap to make.

This is our “cat” tree…They can’t tear up the plant, which is fake. If they knock the balls off, it’s ok since they are plastic. And it keeps them all entertained.
