December Dollar Decor For The Home

Whether you’re adding holiday decor to your collection or starting from scratch, holiday decorations can be expensive. Here’s a few decorative items you can buy from the dollar store (I bought mine from the Dollar Tree), that will add a holiday feel to your home without breaking the bank. Each item cost $1.00 each…..

This jingle bell door hanger is festive and my cats love it!

These “fancy” gold ornaments are pretty and unbreakable….great if you have pets or small children who like to play around the tree.

You get seven ornaments for $1.00…..these are the same exact ornaments I bought last year for a lot more money. And they come in various colors with different finishes.

The ornament on the left is from the package of ornaments I bought from the Dollar Tree….the one on the right cost twice as much…can’t tell a difference!

The ornaments in the glass container on the right are from the same package of ornaments from the Dollar Tree. Again, the ones on the left are from last year at twice the dollar amount.

This snowman towel is an easy way to add a bit of holiday cheer to your kitchen without taking up a lot of space. I put these in our bathroom too.

For $1.00 you get 300 ornament hooks….why pay more?

These snowmen are cute and an easy way to decorate for the season, even if you don’t celebrate Christmas. These would also make a cute hostess gift.

The Dollar Tree had a large variety of window clings to choose from…..let the kids help you stick these on the windows or even mirrors.

These ceramic pieces can help you create a holiday village for next to nothing. There were a lot of different “buildings” to select from.

The two buildings I picked up for a dollar each fit right in with my more expensive pieces….some of the smaller ones I already owned were $10 each.

I love nutcrackers, as you’ll see. I add to my collection every year and it’s easy and affordable when I pick a few up for only a dollar each.

My dollar nutcracker fits right in with my others and doesn’t look “cheap”.

So if you want to add to your holiday collection of decorations or you’re decorating for the first time, check out what your local dollar store has to offer….you might be surprised by the variety and low cost!
