Depending on the cheese brand you use and sale prices, this can cost anywhere from about $4.50 to $6.00 for 2 cups. Serve on crackers, crisp celery, or whatever you like. It’s especially tasty on cold, crisp celery.
BEER CHEESE
INGREDIENTS:
1 pound grated sharp cheddar cheese
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1 garlic clove, minced
1/4 small onion, grated
2 tablespoons flat beer
DIRECTIONS:
Place all the ingredients in a food processor and process until smooth.
Pack the cheese into crocks or serving bowls. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate.
Bring to room temperature before serving so it spreads more easily.
