This year I decided to see if I could make our grandchildren’s Easter baskets from the thrift stores or at least get the bulk of the items from there. I went to Goodwill and here’s what I came up with:
Easy Terrariums
These terrariums are great for low-cost decorating, they make great gifts and if you have children, this could be a fun project to do together. You can get really creative and elaborate or keep it simple…depends on your budget and time.

My Closet Has Been “Purged” – Great Storage Ideas & The Finished Look
Earlier this month I pledged to do some heavy spring-cleaning in my clothes closet. For those who may not be familiar with my “closet,” it is an extra bedroom that we didn’t use, so my husband hung rods and shelves up and it became a huge closet for me. Once that happened though, it seemed […]
25 + Uses For Used Toothbrushes
Dentists recommend you change your toothbrush every 3 months. You could of course toss or recycle them but why when you can repurpose them…saving you money and helping our planet. DO clean used toothbrushes before repurposing them. Soak in hydrogen peroxide for about 10 minutes. Rinse with hot water. Don’t have a lot of […]

Silica Gel Packets We Usually Toss…Alternative Uses, Dangers, And What Are They Exactly?

Common Household Items That Can Be Dangerous To Our Pets
I love animals and luckily my husband does too. We have 4 cats ranging in ages from 3 to about 12 and they keep us laughing and happy. But as any pet owner knows, it can be like having children in the house, with them getting into things they shouldn’t. With our children grown and out of the […]

All of the products cost $1.00 each and I tried each one out (I didn’t go as far as to clean the house, just tried them out on the appropriate surfaces.)
Save Money – MEASURE Your Laundry Detergent
Let’s face it, saving money can be difficult, especially when raising a family or on a fixed income. And […]
Alternative Uses For…..Mouthwash
When I started researching mouthwash, it was strange to see that something I put in my mouth can also be used to clean floors, get rid of dandruff and at one time, was used to treat gonorrhea….seriously.

27 Ways To Make Your Groceries Last As Long As Possible….LOVE This!
One of the reasons I love these tips is because just yesterday, I spent the entire day cleaning out the freezers, fridge, and pantry and was appalled and embarrassed at just how much food I ended up tossing because it was way past the expiration date….way past.
January Clearance Items That Make Great Gifts Throughout The Year
January is a great month to pick up Christmas clearance items but there are lots of other great products that get marked down to bargain basement prices too.
