We have had a lot of readers ask for tips on how to shop at thrift stores and consignment shops. Here’s a few things to consider when shopping for used items, which also applies to garage sales.
You won’t be able to find the exact same items at your own local thrift store, but you can find items similar to these….as a grandparent, I love finding these great books, toys and games so we have a lot of choices but don’t have to spend a ton of money for when the grandkids visit.
We’ll be doing another room makeover this year, which we’ll of course share. This was Ashley’s first attempt at decorating someone else’s home with thrift store and clearance items. It looks beautiful! And you can use these ideas as examples for any room you might want to spruce up.

Tammy yesterday I went to the goodwill here in GA and decided I wanted a new purse. So I started digging in the, and hit the jack pot. I found a Liz Clariborne purse not a mark on it with an 80.00 dollar price tag in the the botton of it. I bought it for 4.99. If I could I would show you the pic of it.
